It’s week 4 for the freshman English conversation class, spring 2017. I hope you have finished reading your book and will soon finish your book report.

Weekly Plan

  1. complete section 2A, 2B and 2C in textbook
  2. present perfect from textbook
  3. review basic plan for the written book report.
  4. check homework (page 10 and page 13, read grammar box and answer questions in 2A)

  • page 10 review, unit 1
  • page 6 in textbook

Hour 1

Attendance and review book report project time. (5)

  • Check schedule one more time (March 30)
  • Click the link for the written book report and scroll down to Step 2. That’s the basic outline for the book project

Say 4 (10)

Purpose: learn and remember words quickly.

  • Work with a partner. Each person gets a list of questions. In 30 seconds, say 4 examples.
  • Your partner can add more. Build a vocabulary list of words in your note book.
  • Here are the questions for the vocabulary game.

Make a Fairy Tale (20)

Part 1

This pair work activity asks you to make a story. Then your partner will ask questions to make the story longer, better and more interesting with details.
