ESL Speaking: Review Adverbs of Frequency

Here is a quick review of the ESL material which we studied in English conversation class.

Adverbs of Frequency

Read each sentence. Write a question to match the sentence. Then re-write the sentence and add a logical adverb of frequency. You might want to make questions that begin with words like these:

  • How often do you…?
  • Do you ever….?
  • Are you ever …?

Example

I bring my lunch to school.

  • Do you ever bring your lunch to school?
  • Yes, I sometimes bring my lunch to school.

Questions

  1. Our professor teaches on Wednesdays.
  2. My academy teacher brings food into class.
  3. I am late for class.
  4. My sister goes on trips on the weekend.
  5. My parents buy lottery tickets.
  6. I give money to beggars .
  7. My partner forgets to bring a notebook to class.
