ESL Video Lesson – Broken

This ESL speaking activity uses a video to build conversation skills.

This pair work activity works like this.

  1. Before break, half the students go out. Partners stay in class and watch the video.
  2. Half the class watches the video. Their job is understanding. They will have to answer questions and make a summary.
  3. Other half of class returns. They ask questions using the 5 Ws+H: who, what, where, when, why, how. Their job is to get the main idea.
  4. Conclude by watching again.
