Last week my ESL students had midterm exams. So, I guess they did not spend much time learning English conversation. Just studying for the tests. This week we will start to practice English conversation with many different activities.

IF AND WOULD
This is an ESL speaking lesson which helps students learn and practice questions and sentences with IF and WOULD.
Here is an example.
- If you saw someone stealing money from a convenience store, what would you do?
- If i saw someone stealing money from a convenience store, first I would leave the store. Then I would all the police with my smartphone. Then I would wait around the corner and wait for the police.
The ESL lesson worksheet has many IF and WOULD questions for my students to practice these questions and answers.
When speaking the questions and answers, make sure you are saying WOULD sound properly. Here is a test. Put your hand over your mouth. Say the word WOULD. If you can feel air on your hand, you are probably saying WOULD sound properly.
