Hour 1

1 Pair Work Conversation (15)

Student A

  1. If you had 100,000 won, what would you do?
  2. What do you think of plastic surgery?
  3. Here is a common saying in English: Time is money. What does that sentence mean? Do you agree or disagree? Why?
  4. Aren’t you hungry?
  5. Would you rather be poor and happy or rich and unhappy?

Student B

  1. If you could live anywhere in the world for one year, where would you live and why?
  2. Have you ever been backpacking?
  3. What unhealthy food do you love?
  4. Here is a common saying in English: Two heads are better than one. What does that sentence mean? Do you agree or disagree? Why?
  5. Aren’t you tired?

Let’s review the names of places – made by nature and by people. Do you know the names of these 21 places?

 

3 Textbook, Human Wonders (10)

Hour 2

1 Dictogloss (20)

  • Teacher reads a short story (150 words same as above in Task 1 Warm Up reading)
  • Students listen without taking notes
  • Students have 3 minutes to create text

  • Students listen and make notes at same time
  • Students have 3 minutes to create text

Step 3: (5)

  • Teacher reads again
  • Students listen and make notes at same time

Step 4: (15)

  • Students make small groups
  • Compile notes and write text

  • Check text together

2 Textbook page 24 (10)

Read short passages

  • Write geography word in blanks
  • 1-B write words to describe your country.

3 Textbook page 26  c-1 (10)

Read, read while listening and shadowing.

4 Textbook page 25  3 (10)

Listen and circle answers.

Hour 3

1 Pair Work  Describe and Draw (15)

Each person has a picture.

Describe your picture. Your partner draws what you say. Try to be as accurate as possible.

2 Pair Work Crossword Puzzle (15)

Give a hint and write the answers in the puzzle.

3 What has she/he done? (10)

This is a memorize and say game.

  • Look at the picture for 90 seconds.
  • Say one sentence – what present perfect – for each action in the picture.
  • Remember and repeat the sentences after the picture has been removed.
