  1. Review the material we have completed so far.
  2. Complete the exercise on hedging ideas.
  3. Complete a timed repeated writing exercise.
  4. Complete the data analysis of Korean food facts – what’s the problem, what’s the question, find the evidence, create rules, make conclusions;
  5. Complete the video summary Room 8 – character, plot, setting and message;
  6. Complete the other writing assignments (if not finished yet): 1) murder mystery 1, 2) murder mystery 2, 3) a story of past events and different times;
  7. Complete worksheets: paraphrase with synonyms; proofreading 1, proofreading 2.

Writing Class Review

What we done so far in class?

  1. learned some basic writing tools (e.g conjunctions and infinitives);
  2. error correction exercises;
  3. a 15-minute writing exercise about past actions in different places;
  4. write logical paragraphs with evidence, rules and conclusions: murder mystery 1 and murder 2;
  5. write and self-edit three kinds of sentences – prepositional phrases, appositives and complex sentences;
  6. new vocabulary by paraphrasing with synonyms;
  7. write a summary about a video – character, plot setting, and message;
  8. three timed repeated writing exercises to improve writing fluency;
  9. completed a data analysis of food  patterns using our logic sentence patterns (i.e. evidence, rules, conclusions);
  10. completed creative sentence fluency activity – with picture prompts;
  11. prepared for quiz #1 with review questions;
  12. completed three chapters in the textbook; answered questions for unit 1, unit, unit 3 and unit 4.
