This is week 14 of the semester. It is the last week of regular classes.
This week, we will do several things to wrap up the semester.
- Monday: return quiz #2 and review answers
- Confirm exam date.
- Complete each person’s speaking time.
- Check syllabus.
- Review exam questions
- Word puzzles
- Wednesday: Jeopardy game

Final Exam Questions
Part 1. Walkabout Presentation (1-2 minutes)
Summarize the main ideas of your presentation. Make a nice, well organized and interesting story.
Part 2 Vocabulary (30 seconds)
You will get a mix of these vocabulary questions. Give four examples for most questions:
- phrasal verbs
- anything from this page of categories
- housing terms (Korean-English translation)
- everyday objects
Part 3. Discussion Questions from the Book (60 seconds)
You will have 1 or 2 of these questions (random). The challenge is to talk well, describe things and ideas in interesting ways with good vocabulary and phrases from the textbook.
- Question 1: You had an interview for a job that you really wanted, but it didn’t go well. Give advice to someone with phrases and vocabulary (page 57).
- Question 2: Describe a popular snack food or traditional dish in one country (page 51).
- Question 3: What demands do parents make on their kids? Which demands are reasonable? Which ones are harmful? (page 35).
Part 4. Famous Quotes (1-2 minutes)
You will have one or two of these quotes. You will be asked two questions. 1) What is the meaning of the quote. 2) Do you agree or disagree and why/why not?
- The whole secret of life is to be interested in one thing profoundly and in a thousand things well.
- Do or do not. There is no try.
- Whether you think you can or you think you can’t, you’re right.
