This is week 14 of the semester. The final exam is just around the corner so it’s time for my ESL students to learn English and get ready for the test.
ESL Conversation Exam
Here are the final exam questions. Each student will get one question from each part.
This will be a conversation exam, so expect follow up questions. The key point is to show your communication skills. The score will reflect your ability to express ideas that people can understand because your pronunciation is clear, your vocabulary is accurate and your logic is persuasive.
Part 1 Summarize and Conversation
Talk for 45 seconds and tell me the important parts about:
- a book
- a movie
- a tv show
- a news story
- your future
Part 2 Vocabulary
The objective of the class was to learn 300 new words. Let’s check that. Say 6:
- Pairs of homophones
- Things in space
- Korean side dishes
- Food in a can
- Appliances
- Words that start with CON
- Islands
- Kinds of punctuation
- Cooking verbs
- Dairy products
- Emotions
- Asian capital cities
Part 3 General Questions
Describe with as much detail as possible.
- What was the happiest moment of your life?
- Who has been the biggest influence on your life?
- What are the most important lessons you’ve learned in life?
- What’s the best gift you have ever received?
- Your favorite place.
Part 4 Agree or Disagree?
- Aliens have visited earth.
- There are no heroes.
- This country is safe.
- The future looks bright.
- One is better than zero.
- Up is better than down.
