Are words powerful? Of course they are but I wonder if my students know that.
I encourage my ESL students to improve and expand their vocabulary. That’s why I prepare vocabulary worksheets and puzzles, like this one. Knowing more words can help their writing and speaking skills. That is obvious. But sometimes the message is easy but getting the idea to stick is hard.
Maybe this ESL video lesson can help motivate my students. It shows the power of words. And the power of ideas which can be expressed in a different way. Enjoy.

Writing class students, here is your homework. Read the questions and answer the questions.
Why do this? Good writing requires fluency with words (good vocabulary and quick recall) and an understanding of word sounds and word parts.

The purpose of this ESL writing lesson is to give students an opportunity to work in groups and use the three elements of paragraph style which we studied in class: strong opening sentence, logical organization and unity.
