Activities from the Book
Look at page 49. There are three kinds of hobbies: collect, play and other. Look at each picture and ask you partner to say three things about each hobby.You can talk about:
- how people do it
- the equipment
- the rules
- things people can see
- the cost
- why it is fun (or not fun)
Here is an example.
- Can you tell me something about comic books?
- Yes, comic books are books with lots of pictures and characters. They are very popular.
- Some comic books have famous characters like Batman or Superman.
- Japanese comic books are very popular in Korea and around the world.

Page 51 of the book is a pair work exercise. Here you have to make many different kinds of sentences. Here are some examples.
1. What (5 W’s)
- What kind of cards do you collect?
- I collect baseball cards.
- What is your favourite baseball team?
- My favourite team is Lotte Giants.
2. HOW WELL
- How well can you play chess?
- I can’t play well. I am a beginner.
3. HOW OFTEN
- How often do you play piano?
- I play piano three times a week.
4. WHO
- Who do you play basketball with?
I play basketball with my middle school friends.
