English Writing Lessons: Week 11

This week my ESL students will continue to practice writing summaries. Last week, the students listened to a Steve Jobs video and then wrote a summary. They also wrote a summary about a short story about snow.

Here is the writing assignment.

  1. Watch this video.
  2. Write a one paragraph summary about the story. Be sure to talk about the characters, setting and plot.
  3. Does this story have a message?
  4. In a second paragraph, write your impressions about this video. Does this video have some connection to the Steve Jobs video message?
