Easy ESL Speaking Game

This board game is a review exercise for beginner level ESL students. My class is using it to prepare for a mid-term exam. The questions cover a good array of basic grammar and vocabulary content which the students spent time learning in English class.

How to Play

My English students generally like to play in teams. So I run the game with two teams per board. Team members role a die and move a token. (No die? Use a coin.)

A correct answer means they can stay at that square. An incorrect answer sends them back to the last square. Game ends when one team crosses the finish line.

Download the ESL game board. If you like the questions as they are, use the PDF file. That game board is here: ESL Easy Speaking Game.

Some of the questions reflect the local Korean context, so some teachers may want to change the questions. (Do your students really know four Korean side dishes?)

To change the questions, download the MS Word file here.

Enjoy.
