Hour 2

Final Exam Questions

1. Business Introduction (10)

Write your business introduction. Your introduction should be at least 6 sentences. Write about:

• Your name (first name and last name).
• Where you work what the company makes or sells.
• Job title
• What you do in a typical day at work.

2. Past tense questions and answers (10)

I will give you a few (5-10) verbs. You have to write a past tense question and answer with each verb.

Here are the verbs.

Here is an example:

• drive
• Where did your friend drive yesterday?
• My friend drove to Costco yesterday.

3. General Questions (10)

You will have a short story. Read the story and answer the questions.  During the exam, we will talk about the story. Then I will ask you a few questions.

The final exam will have a story similar to these. Your answers must have long sentences with few mistakes.

4. Write answers about HOW OFTEN (10)

You will get a few questions with How often do you …? 

You should know things like

• once a week
• once a month
• once a year
• three times a week
• three times a year
• never

Read a question. Then write a full sentence answer.

For example:

• How often do you drink coffee?
• I drink coffee two times a day.

1. How often do you go shopping?
2. How often do you cook food?
3. How often do you go to work?
4. How often do you work late?
5. How often do you see a movie?
6. How often do you go to a coffee shop?

5. Present tense questions and answers (10)

Read a question. Write an answer with 2 full sentences.

Here is an example:

• What do you like to eat?
• I like to eat fruit.l My favorite fruit is persimmon because it has a sweet and nutty taste.

You will have three kinds of questions:

1. present tense with WHAT
2. present tense with CAN
3. present tense with DO

Remember: questions with Can you and Do you need as YES/NO answer plus extra information.
