Week 4 English Lessons: ESL Conversation

It is week 4 of the semester already. In a couple of week it will be time for a quiz. Two weeks after that, time for the mid-term exam.

ESL Vocabulary

This ESL vocabulary worksheet helps ESL students expand and review their English vocabulary. This worksheet is about compound words.

A compound word is two words put together to make a new word. For example, look at these three
words: hand, pipes, air

To each word, we can add BAG to make three new words, like these: handbag, bagpipes, airbag.

Week 2: ESL Conversation

Here are some files which my ESL students need to download and print for the English class. 

ESL THINKING PUZZLE

This ESL conversation worksheet has a puzzle. My students have to solve the puzzle and then practice speaking an writing the answer.

This ESL speaking activity has several parts.

  1. Put the pictures in order (i.e. what is first, second and so on).
  2. With your partner, make a speaking story and tell the story. use the present simple tense. And, be sure to use the articles A and THE properly.
  3. Finally, write the story in your notebook.

DESCRIBE DIFFERENCES

This conversation worksheet has two pictures. You and a partner have to describe the different things in each Picture A and Picture B.
