The purpose of this 5 minute lesson is to active the students’ memory of common words, review countable and non-countable nouns and stimulate creative thinking. Oh, one more thing. Let’s have some fun by watching a really interesting short video.
The Writing Lesson
Watch the video which was produced by Bruton Strouble Studios.
In three minutes, make a list of the breakfast food and drinks you see on the table. Don’t forget to add countable nouns when needed.
My list has 16 different kinds of food and drink. How many can you get?
Are words powerful? Of course they are but I wonder if my students know that.
I encourage my ESL students to improve and expand their vocabulary. That’s why I prepare vocabulary worksheets and puzzles, like this one. Knowing more words can help their writing and speaking skills. That is obvious. But sometimes the message is easy but getting the idea to stick is hard.
Power of Words
Maybe this ESL video lesson can help motivate my students. It shows the power of words. And the power of ideas which can be expressed in a different way. Enjoy.
